The Best Minimum Shutter Speed to Use for Street Photography
Introduction
So I have entered the world of creating animation.
When I was thinking of my YouTube channel, I was trying to come up with something different from the norm. I didn't want to just do the standard approximately 10-minute tutorial videos that I am so used to seeing. There are so many of them and the majority of them are very informative and helpful. Therefore, I really wanted to try something completely different in addition to my style of filming YouTube videos. I wanted to break from the norm.
This is why I came up with the idea of doing animations. Right now, I am starting off by creating quick tips that any Photographer can remember and hopefully use when they are on the streets.
So what's the best shutter speed to use then?
In this first animated video of mine, I wanted to show that a minimum shutter speed of 1/200 seconds is ideal when capturing human-related action, on the streets in the daytime.
Obviously, the faster the action, the faster the shutter speed you will need; and in some cases, 1/200 sec, will not be fast enough. But it is a good starting point for a minimum shutter speed to use as a street photographer. If your shutter speed is slower than 1/200 sec, you will then be going down that slippery slope where there will be a distinct possibility that the action you capture will be blurred to some degree.
I hope that this animated video is not only informative to beginner and advanced Photographers but also fun.
